IrriTree Specifications General

Part 1 –

1.General Description of Product and Function

The IrriTree is a device that combines underground irrigation with a pipe that is resistant to vandalism, while directing the drip to the desired depth and to areas that are under sidewalk. The IrriTree device shall be pre-assembled and constructed of a plastic dripper protector and perforated plastic sleeve. It shall have an internal stopper ring to prevent any option of disconnecting the dripper.

The system shall be available at 3 different heights: 25cm (10 inches), 45cm (18 inch) and 75cm (30 inches). Each height is made of corrugated pipe which can be cut to any shorter height according to the customer's needs. The IrriTree device is compatible with any 16mm (O.D) P.E. tube grade 6 or similar. The IrriTree device is compatible with any pressure compensated button dripper 1lh-8lh. One button dripper with flow between 1lh-8lh (According to the desired flow rate) will be installed on the 16mm tube and the IrriTree device will be assembled over the dripper. If using a dripper with an internal diameter larger than 20mm, there is no need to use the stopper ring. An optional filter fabric sleeve shall be available for field installation for use in sandy soil conditions.

Part 2 – Parts and Material

V6375F– Vertical model, diameter 63mm, length 75cm (30 inches) with filter fabric

Tubing Description

i.The pipe shall be perforated 360° to allow for lateral movement of water around and over the irrigation area. It shall be made of a polypropylene SN4, UV resistant material and corrugated structure.

ii.V6325 models shall be approximately 63mm outer diameter and 25cm from the top of the device to the base of the pipe.

iii.V6345 models shall be approximately 63mm outer diameter and 45cm from the top of the device to the base of the pipe.

iv.V6375 models shall be approximately 63mm outer diameter and 75cm from the top of the device to the base of the pipe.

A.Warranty

3 year warranty period

Part 3 – Function and Operation

1.Operating Pressure: The IrriTree shall operate between 0.5 to 4 bars (0.7 to 60 psi).

2.Flow Rates: When specified with a pressure compensated button dripper, the flow rates shall be between 1lh-8lh.

3.To service, there is no need to any tool to move the two snap locking rings from the cap and pull off the cap. This will allow access to the irrigation hardware.

Installation Instructions

Legend

1. PE 16/6 pipe for high durability.

2. An IrriTree device for dripper protection.

 3. Corrugated pipe 63mm with high mechanical resistance .  The pipe creates an air gap to protect the dripper from sucking soil particles and penetrating roots

.4. Built-in slides in the pipe to increase the possibility of water spreading around it and to improve ventilation.

5. Quick locking rings to secure the accessory and easy maintenance option.

6. Internal stopper ring to prevent any possibility of disconnecting the dripper from the pipe.

7. PC button dripper (not supplied with the IrriTree accessory, supplied by all major companies

Installation of an IrriTree System for Existing tree

Before installation:

Select the IrriTree unit model and the desired drip flow according to the type of soil and the conditions of the area.Determine the number of units per tree.

Installation Steps

1. Lay the PE 16/6 tube on the surface and around the tree according to the planner's instructions. Plan the unit placing points at equal spacing around the tree, at a distance of about 50 cm around the trunk. . (See typical drawing Fig.1).

Insert the PC button drippers into the underside of the 16 mm tube according to the placement plan. An additional perimeter of units can be placed at a distance of 50-75 cm from the first perimeter. Each tree should have a minimum of three IrriTree units

2. Open the top of the units and place each dripper in the center of the bottom unit and in accordance with the hole in the stopper ring. The stopper ring is designed for a dripper with a diameter of up to 20 mm. (Fig. 2)

3. Close the unit cover with the two snap-on locking rings. (Fig. 3)

4.Mark the digging points for the IrriTree pipe according to the location of the IrriTree units along the 16 mm tube.

5. Drill holes with a manual digging tool or a motor ground drill, to the desired diameter and depth.

Each hole should have a minimum diameter of 3 inches and the required depth to allow the IrriTree unit upper side to be installed 3-5 cm below the final height of the ground level.

The IrriTree unit pipe can be cut to any required length. (Fig 4)

6. Connect the PE 16 mm tube with the IrriTree system to the supply line system. (Fig. 5)

7. Open the main water tap and check the system. (Fig. 6).

8. Refill the drilling hole around the IrriTree units. Cover the IrriTree system with a layer of soil of 3-5 cm, in accordance with the planned ground level.

8. Follow planting guidelines specific to tree species and local conditions.
